Get to know the dedicated individuals who lead our church and help us achieve our mission.
Jacob Morris has been the preaching pastor of Reliance Fellowship since 2013. After earning his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he and his family moved to Tri-Cities, Washington, to plant a church, supported by New Life Fellowship in Arlington, Texas. He is dedicated to engaging with young adults by teaching Bible classes at Pacific Northwest Christian College.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jacob is passionate about helping people embrace the gospel and live meaningful lives. He and his wife, Beth, have been married since 2002 and actively contribute to their community through various activities, including soccer coaching, sports booster clubs, fostering, adopting, and neighborhood outreach. They have six children who add excitement to their lives.
Gregg Deacon has served in worship ministry for over 20 years and came on as full-time staff at Reliance in the summer of 2021. He desires to see the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed through Scripture, song, and worshiping hearts. Gregg professed his faith in Christ at the age of five and has seen the LORD’s faithfulness through lots of joy and suffering in his life. After spending much of his childhood on the western side of Washington State, Gregg lived most of his adult life in northern Colorado. Gregg holds a BA in Organizational Management and Christian Leadership from Colorado Christian University and acquired his M.Div from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2024.
Gregg and Catie Deacon have been married since 2008 and have four children – Isaac, Abigail, Olivia, and Abram. Gregg and Catie love to hike, read, do puzzles, sing songs, and watch birds.
RKids Ministry
Danielle Merriman
RKids Ministry: danielle@reliancefellowship.org
Danielle Merriman has served with the Rkids team since coming on staff with Reliance in 2019. She desires to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children on Sunday mornings through intentional teaching of God’s Word. Her desire is for children to see how the stories of the Bible fit together to point to Jesus.
Danielle also serves the community through full time work as an elementary teacher for the Kennewick School District. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Teaching English Language Learners.
Cody and Danielle have been married since 2014 and have two children – Oden and Ophelia.
